About Me

Janet Walker is a New York based Corporate Communications Specialist, free lance writer and owner of Pulse Point Productions, Inc., a multi-platform entertainment company.



A 95 graduate of New York University she also holds an Associate of Applied Science degree from Suffolk County Community College where she began her investigative reporting career covering fiscal news and Albanys ever present budgetary crisis. A summer gig with The Port Times led to a free lance career in a city of artistic driven excellence.



Slowly building a reputation for excellence with her editorial services/corporate communications agency, Walker Associates, she served the NYU community with efficient service at affordable rates. Her client list included The Hamptons Magazine, BMI, Goldman Sachs MBA Candidates and others. It was then she received a long pursued opportunity to continue her creative training under a full conservatory schedule at Circle in the Square Theater School, an acceptance through audition only professional acting program.



Her Corporate Communications specialties include online, intranet and internet, and internal communications. She has maintained a parallel pursuit throughout her career track accepting entertainment opportunities as they would arise. She recently formed Pulse Point Productions, Inc., to facilitate the production of her own creative pursuits as well as the development of other talent and opportunities.



She has a solid portfolio available that includes news, fashion, food, philanthropic and entertainment writing in print, newspaper, magazine and online. She can also create creative briefs and can produce campaigns for community based initiative programs that focus on brand familiarity, respectability and brand comfort.



She gained recognition with her Pulitzer nominated coverage of Victim X and the Hudson County, NJ Corruption Machine and has remained in New York despite the ensuing cover-up. Her edgy features can be found on the Los Angeles based e-magazine, Splash Magazines Worldwide. She has covered the Mercedes-Benz IMG New York Fashion Week and has been an invited showroom and backstage guest of New Zealand designer Rebecca Taylor on numerous occasions. She has covered Nigel Barkers effort with the Humane Society and Grammy award winning Hip Hop Artist Miri Ben-Aris launch of the Gedenk organization. She's covered Donald Trump, Broadway and the Tribeca Film Festival and worked with numerous PR agencies promoting their clients.



She was an invited guest of the Consulate General of Israel Office of Cultural Affairs to attend A Night of Harmony at the Apollo Theater celebrating Israels 60th Anniversary. She is quoted frequently as an authority in both film and fashion and is quoted on film director Anna Wildings award winning Buddha Wild: A Monk in a Hut main film website. She is featured for her review of Federico Fellinis, newly restored, Toby Dammit, on Wikipedia. Her free lance work has also appeared in, the entertainment trade magazine, Ross Reports.



Her motion picture production company, Pulse Point Productions, Inc., is in pre-production with its first feature, "The Six Sides of Truth,*" a contemporary high tech thrill ride through Washington DC and the inner sanctums of the Pentagon.



Pulse Point Productions, Inc., with three features and three documentaries, does entertain offers of acquisition and is currently seeking a partner, gap financing, institutional financing or private equity. A prospectus is available.



She has approximately eight years of corporate communications experience coupled with seven years of education. Ideally, she is seeking a corporate communications position that includes internal communications and assists in external campaigns for community based initiative programs.
