A science enthusiast well versed in the intricacies of morphology and evolution, Stuart Pivars immersion in the world of biological science began in the nineties with the founding of Protease Inhibitor Labs at the State University of New York, Stony Brook; Regenerative Medicine Associates; and the Human Blueprint Project. Over the course of his professional career, Stuart Pivar has become proficient in several scientific disciplines apart from biology, including chemistry and engineering. Stuart Pivar, a polymer chemist, owns numerous patents on the processes and machinery for plastic molding. In 1959, Stuart Pivar founded Chem-Tainer Industries, a leading manufacturer of bulk chemical containment vessels. Additionally, Stuart Pivar is an accomplished engineer and is the inventor of the Microcar, a three-wheeled electric vehicle that he developed through American Microcar Inc. in 1979. Specifically designed to navigate the narrow streets of older cities, such as New York City, Stuart Pivar pieced the original model of the Microcar together from parts of old electric mopeds. Outside of his scientific endeavors, Stuart Pivar enjoys collecting antiques and art, often frequenting the worlds most famous auction houses. A regular on the New York art scene since the sixties, Stuart Pivar has developed long-standing friendships with some of the most talented and cutting-edge artists of the time. Stuart Pivars friendship with Andy Warhol resulted in the co-founding of the New York Academy of Art in 1979. Stuart Pivar is currently a resident of Manhattan, New York.
