Mr. Simon Nagel leverages a decade of experience toward his current position as a Senior Litigation Associate for Dechert LLP. Well versed in electronic document production and review, Simon Nagel directed a large team of staff attorneys, paralegals, and contract attorneys in analyzing electronic documents for pretrial discovery and production. Under Simon Nagels keen management, the team adhered to strict deadlines and complex protocols, while keeping within the confines of review costs. Simon Nagel is also responsible for ongoing reporting to trial team leadership, relationship building with clients and vendors, witness preparation, researching legal issues, fact investigation, and deposition analyzing. Prior to taking on his current position as Senior Litigation Associate, Simon Nagel served as an Associate within the Health Effects Litigation Department for Pepper Hamilton LLP. In the year he was with Pepper Hamilton LLP, Simon Nagel prepared witnesses for deposition, spearheaded the creation of privilege and redaction logs, and utilized his extensive leadership experience to advise both clients and colleagues on the management of contract attorneys. Simon Nagels first experience in the legal field was as a Corporate Securities Associate for Dechert LLP, where he worked on streamlining the mergers and acquisitions processes for his clients. In this position, Simon Nagel garnered experience in attending and leading closing duties for wire transfers and federal and state filing obligations, conducting due diligence reviews, drafting and negotiating stock and asset purchase agreements, and advising clients on technology licensing issues. Simon Nagel began his formal education at the Pennsylvania State University, where he studied aerospace engineering and graduated magna cum laude with his Bachelors degree. Interested in law, Simon Nagel went on to pursue legal studies at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, obtaining his Juris Doctor cum laude. Simon Nagel is a member in good standing of the Sedona Conference Working Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Bar of the State of New York, and the Bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
