Scott Soutter has been employed in various trades since 1981, when he first apprenticed as a boilermaker at Transfield (Qld) Pty Ltd in Mount Isa at Mt Isa Mines, Queensland, Australia. As an apprentice, Scott Soutter learned the trade of boilermaking under some of Australias most skilled tradesmen, fabricating steel beams, columns, and pipes. Mr. Soutter remained at Transfield until 1985, when he accepted a position at Kawana Engineering as a boilermaker for commercial fishing boats and prawn trawlers. The position at Kawana led to Mr. Soutters next role as a subcontractor boilermaker, completing ship repairs and refitting 90-foot prawn trawlers. Scott Soutter remained as a boilermaker off and on for the next few years, before accepting a new position in 1988, helping to build and remodel residential properties for such contractors as Dwyer Quality Homes, Wright Developments, In 1994, Scott Soutter returned to his roots, accepting a position with a Middle East Shipping and ship building Company as a boiler maker and operations manager at the companys Saudi Arabian outfit. At the Shipping Company, Scott Soutter managed a crew of over 25 international employees, building and refitting ships, with some import and exporting exprence . Following his position in the Middle East Shipping Company, Scott Soutter accepted several more boiler making contracts, including building cattle yards in South East Queensland , and later, building pools and construction work in and around the Sunshine Coast, Warana, Qld . In 2001, Mr. Soutter accepted a position as a boilermaker, diver, and maintenance supervisor in Java, Indonesia. In this position, Scott Soutter travelled between numerous Asian countries, supervising work crews and reporting to unit holders/shareholder and the directors of the company with progress updates. He also gained a high level of experienced with decompression, diving to depths of 150 feet working for extended periods of time. Since then, Mr. Soutter has worked for numerous companies, doing both survey and salvage diving, often helping to survey and salvage the shipwrecks. He has also been asked in recent years to act as an information source for one of his employers in a court case that involved the company. As an investigations delegate, Scott Soutter compiled significant research in regards to business liability, concerning another employer.
