About Me

Scott F. Gelbard lives and works in Colorado, serving as founder and Partner at Apis Ventures in Denver. He invests capital for private and public companies, leverages business relationships, arranges deals, and provides consulting services for companies both large and small. Scott F. Gelbard and his colleagues at Apis manage investments in many sectors, including high-tech, biotech, food service, natural resources, and mining. Before founding Apis Ventures, Scott Gelbard gained experience in the financial world working for an investment relations firm during his last two years of college and launching two other companies, Regency Financial in 1999 and the Regency Group shortly thereafter. Scott F. Gelbard attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where he studied consumer science, business, and finance, earning his Bachelor of Science in 1999. Before transferring to Colorado State University, he spent a year at another college, Palm Beach Atlantic in Florida. Scott Gelbard played as a member of Palm Beach Atlantics NCAA Division II PBA Sailfish soccer organization, solidifying his lifelong love of the sport. He previously coached soccer for Regis Jesuit High School in Denver, Colorado, and today still coaches for his sons team, the Arapahoe Warriors. Scott F. Gelbard stays active by playing and coaching hockey, going to the gym regularly, skiing, and riding dirt bikes. When not exercising, he enjoys reading and prefers the novels of Stephen King and Vince Flynn. Proud to carry on a family tradition of working in the financial industry, Scott F. Gelbard is a third-generation investor relations professional. Outside of work, he gives back to his community by supporting worthwhile causes, such as Disabled American Veterans, Food Bank of the Rockies, and Men for the Cure Foundation.
