An expert in ShoreTel IP communications systems, Robert Carlson founded reseller Vanguard Phones, Inc., in Malibu, California, in the late 2000s. Today, Robert Carlson leads Vanguard Phones as President, overseeing the highest volume reseller of used and refurbished ShoreTel IP communications products in the nation. Mr. Carlson shares that business leaders select pre-owned ShoreTel systems to reduce costs for voice and data communications, and Vanguard Phones can install and maintain such systems at a discount. When systems require upgrades, IP administrators can simply deploy changes using network downloads, updating all devices simultaneously. The ShorePhone IP models offered by Mr. Carlsons firm are visually appealing, ergonomically correct, and user-friendly. These include model numbers 212k, 230, 265, and 560.

Serving clients from headquarters in Malibu, Robert Carlson and Vanguard Phones provide complete used or refurbished systems, including ShoreGear and PoE switches, as well as servers from vendors such as IBM, HP, and Dell. With extensive expertise, Mr. Carlson has also sold Exchange 2010 Dell PowerEdge and SQL 2008 servers through Vanguard Phones. Robert Carlson's other specialties include Allworx, EtherSpeak, TelePacific, SonicWALL, and PAETEC.

Formerly a Certified Orange ShoreTel Partner, Mr. Carlson repeatedly broke quarterly records for hardware sales. At Conexants telecommunications division, which he served as President, he regularly achieved exceptional sales of ShoreTel products. Prior to leading Vanguard Phones, he held a number of high-level consultant and senior-executive positions. The Malibu resident contributed as Controller and Chief Financial Officer for ShoreTel vendor 3G Communications Group from 2006 to 2007.
