About Me

Advertising executive Rick Roth commands more than three decades of experience in the industry. He spent the majority of his career to date working with the Ogilvy Group. Previously, he was with The Marschalk Company. He began as a copywriter for a trade publishing company and small ad agency in New York City. With the Ogilvy Group, Rick Roth carved out a unique career path that took him from Account Executive to Global Chief Executive Officer of OgilvyAction. He was named to Ogilvys Worldwide Board of Directors in 2001. Over the years Rick Roth maintained a remarkable commitment to the values of David Ogilvy and the standards set by Ogilvy & Mather; he is known for his passion for building brands, winning new business, and driving change. Throughout his career, Rick Roth has participated in a vast number of professional, educational, and family-oriented activities. Possessing a strong interest in the commercial and retail development of New York City, Rick Roth spent many years on the Board of Directors of the Times Square Alliance, where, among other things, he led a formal repositioning and communication program for Times Square that is still prominent today. Since 2007, Rick Roth has served as a Marketing and Communications Advisor and is a member of the Board of Directors for AnchorFree, Inc., a Silicon Valley-based Internet firm whose Hotspot Shield enables private use of the Internet. Rick Roth has also served on the Advisory Board for the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) and has lent his knowledge and expertise as a Finals Judge for the organizations annual Effie Awards, honoring innovative marketing ideas and advertising campaigns. A graduate of Ithaca College in New York, Rick Roth stays involved with his alma mater as a member of the Advisory Boards for the School of Business and the Park School of Communications. Over the years, Rick has spoken in the schools distinguished speaker series and on several panels. Ithaca College has also enjoyed Rick Roths service as a student mentor since 2008. In his free time, Rick Roth and his family partake in a wide range of recreational activities. An avid tennis and platform tennis player, cyclist, and golfer, Rick Roth also spends time sailing and relaxing on the beach. He loves music and collects wine. Rick Roth and his family live in Mamaroneck, New York.
