About Me
As a practicing architect and community activist, I have been for many years an outspoken advocate for a clean environment, new urbanism, sustainable development, barrier-free design and healthy transportation. In 1996, I won Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporations FlexHousing Design Competition, for demonstrating foresight and creativity in designing sustainable housing.
Throughout my career, I demonstrated talent for free hand drafting and symbolic painting. Recently, I have produced the illustrations for The Adventures of Tommy Teddy Bear & Alex Little Bunny, three childrens stories by Flavia Cosma, a Romanian-born Canadian writer, published by the Korean Canadian Literary Forum-21 Press (ISBN 0-9782020-1-5; 2007).
I am presently working on my first book, "Brainstorming for a Beautiful Planet". It is a river of ideas, beginning as a stream of opinions, rising into a lake of knowledge, and then leading to a spectacular cascade of revolutionary design; a river to appease the thirst for answers to the question: what can we do for Mother Earth?
In addition to English, I speak French, Romanian and Hungarian. My interests include chess, sports, gardening, traveling and cooking. Also, as a true Renaissance Man, I like to write poetry, especially when inspired by a dramatic event. My poems are a reflection of my soul, and complement my artistic and technical diversity. As a nonconformist architect, I very much identify with Howard Roark, the main character in Ayn Rands famous novel, The Fountainhead.
