About Me
The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded 15 years ago on the campus of George Washington University. With the aim of providing honor students with extra tools to help them become the leaders of the future, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars has created a number of programs, scholarships, events, and other opportunities to facilitate success. Every member of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars is awarded a membership diploma, press release to share with local media, and invitation to participate in the Induction Convocation. Additionally, members gain access to an invaluable network of peers who are equally ambitious and want to make a difference.
The National Society of Collegiate Scholars awards over $250,000 in scholarships annually, awarding more money in undergraduate scholarships each year than any other honor society. Among some of the scholarships The National Society of Collegiate Scholars bestows every year are the Exemplary Scholar Award, the Distinguished Service Award, the China Professional Training & Language Academy (CPTLA) scholarship, the Integrity Scholarship, and numerous study abroad scholarships. The National Society of Collegiate Scholars has a multitude of corporate partners, such as Envision, Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Raytheon Company, and the Peace Corps, which often recruit members of the organization for business opportunities.
Today, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars has over 625,000 members and 235 chapters in universities and colleges nationwide.
