Attorney Nick D. Maceus has been practicing law since 2006, when he received his Juris Doctorate from the George Washington University School of Law. Mr. Maceus began his legal career at Merrimack Valley Legal Services in Lowell, MA. Merrimack Valley Legal Services (MVLS) is a legal aid organization which provides cost-free advice and representation in civil cases to low income and elderly residents living in the Essex and Middlesex Counties of Massachusetts.
At MVLS, Nick Maceus was responsible for large amounts of legal writing. This included drafting documents such as case summary memoranda, draft opinions, motions, and pleadings. He also completed considerable amounts of legal research, including the verification of jurisdictions, general legal research and analysis of Family Law.
Nick Maceus is involved in many professional societies relating to the legal field, including the American Bar Association and the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the alumni associations of both Harvard University and Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Additionally, he regularly volunteers with organizations such as America Reads, Big Brothers/ Big Sisters, FEED Projects, the Florida Police Benevolent Association, Habitat for Humanity, HOPE, and the University of Florida Outreach and Community Development.
Nick D. Maceus also holds a BA in business administration from the University of Florida, and a MA in history and politics from Harvard University.
