As an accomplished Chartered Accountant (CA), Mushtaq Thobani has spent over 25 years working as a Managing Practitioner at MMT & Associates, a full-service accounting practice that he helped found. Since 1982, Mr. Thobani has been a driving force for the Canadian companys success. As a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta (ICAA), Mr. Thobani is a part of a network of 11,000 other talented CAs and CA students working together to support national standards and programs. Mr. Mushtaq Thobani fosters a love for golf and not only plays for his own enjoyment, but also uses his skill to help others. As the Convenor of the Calgary World Partnership Golf Tournament, Mushtaq Thobani helps to contribute funds to poor communities in Asia and Africa. The Aga Khan Foundation, a non-profit development agency, established the tournament in 2000, and through events like the Calgary World Partnership Golf Tournament, it supports programs that encourage people to take charge of their lives and environment. An avid outdoorsman, Mushtaq Thobani lives in one of the best areas for enjoying Canadas natural resources: Calgary, Alberta. Mr. Mushtaq Thobani often takes advantage of his surroundings by fishing in the many streams, hiking the trails, and skiing down the plentiful slopes the province has to offer. Mr. Mushtaq Thobani also enjoys the outdoors by participating in athletic activities like golf and soccer. His soccer skills come in handy when he is helping with the Fish Creek Sports Soccer Association, a soccer club for youths. In his spare time, Mr. Mushtaq Thobani likes to read. He enjoys such works such as John Steinbecks classic novella Of Mice and Men. Mushtaq Thobani currently lives and works in Canada.
