About Me
Ever since she was a young girl, Monica Talbett has loved everything to do with horses. From training them, to caring for them, to riding them competitively, Monica Talbett is a truly committed and experienced equestrian. Though no longer competing, Talbett showed impressive talents as a rider, winning over 100 ribbons at 4-H events and competitive horse shows. Maintaining her passion for the animal as she has grown, Monica Talbett is currently working on training a Pinto Pony to compete in hunter riding, as well as pleasure riding.
When not working with horses, Monica Talbett is deeply committed to her continued work as a student. Enrolled at the Manassas, Virginia branch of the Heritage Institute, Monica Talbett is studying hard to prepare for a career as an x-ray medical technician. In the meantime, Monica Talbett has worked in a number of capacities in order to pay for school, including her current job as a server in a Clifton, Virginia restaurant. Prior to enrolling in the Heritage Institute, Monica Talbett was a diligent student at Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke, Virginia. Throughout high school, Monica Talbett was also an extensively active member of her towns local 4-H Club.
In her spare time, Monica Talbett still enjoys riding horses, particularly Nonchalant, the horse she has had since she was 14 years old. Unfortunately, Nonchalant is retired, as he has suffered a number of injuries that prohibit him from competing. In addition to Nonchalant, Monica Talbett also cares for a massive English Mastiff, humorously named Tinkerbell.
