My professional experience:

30 plus years of solving distribution problems using new thought processes and our ProTrac Software. With that many years of calling on wholesalers, I have gained a deep understanding and appreciation for the industry.

Utilizing my experience I can readily explain how a Modern 4th Generation Relational Data Base Software Package, can have a positive impact on a wholesaler's customer service and bottom line profits.


MY BUSINESS SURVEY:

To ensure a success-filled installation, I utilize a Distribution Business Survey which I have developed over the years. The survey ensures that both the distribution management and their employees are involved with the selection and installation of ProTrac.

My survey is designed to help me gain a better understanding of:
- What causes both management and their line staff the most system grief
- What causes them to Buy a product
-What system feature would have the most impact on their operation
- Where the company is headed in the future


Once I understand the wholesalers needs, I meet with our software development and support staff to give them a review of the company and new client's mission.

This process ensures that what the customer wants and needs, is what our software can deliver. If there are any modifications that need to be made this session helps my staff gain an understanding of why the customer needs this modification.

Professional Goals and Experience

My goal is to help wholesalers drive more profit from the buy, store, sell, pick, ship, and collect process. This is accomplished by reducing expenses throughout the company. Often times the current system is being served by the employees, instead of being the one that is serving the company.

In today's marketplace many software systems keep expenses high and profits low because the software causes too many:

NON REVENUE PRODUCING TRANSACTIONS

One example of an NRPT can be found when it is easier to create a manual order to get the customer out the door with product.

The order is then keyed into the system by a clerk. This keying does not produce any added revenue and is just an added expense of doing busines.

Another example of an NRPT is found in Purchasing when someone has to walk the stacks to see what they need to order. Then they have to manually key that Purchase Order into the system before mailing or faxing the purchase order to the vendor.

NO part of this manual process produces any additional revenue, consequently is is just and added cost of doing business.

ProTrac would have created a PO based on sales and incoming orders.
A new PO would be faxed,E mailed or sent via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).

My Business Survey follows an order through the company and that time consuming process gives me a first hand look at how a system is causing so many dollars to be lost to Expense.

By finding and uncovering NRPTs I am able to show management the real cost of their Buy, Store, Pick, Ship, Bill, and Collect Process.

I have seen these expenses take away as much as .03 cents out of every sales dollar.

I encourage all wholesalers to take the same objective walk through their system. That walk can shine a very bright spotlight on the NON REVENUE PRODUCING TRANSACTIONs, in their operation.
