Martin Darveniza spent 20 years working on one of the Pacific's leading tourism resorts, Denarau Island Resort in Fiji. Martin Darveniza was Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Tabua Investments Ltd, the company responsible for the overall development of Denarau Island. With Tabua, Martin Darveniza oversaw the growth of Fijis integrated resort Denarau from a project consisting of only two hotels to a development with a value of more than $1 billion with eight internationally branded hotels (including Hilton, Westin, Sofitel, Radisson and Sheraton), a residential development, commercial complex with a marina and a championship golf course. Martin Darveniza gained valuable experience serving the interests of various tourism stakeholder groups, including high-level government bodies and private sector suppliers. In addition to his senior executive position, Martin Darveniza served as Executive Chairman of Denarau Corporation, the company overseeing the integrated resort structure for the flourishing resort. Recognized for both his passion and diligent work ethic, Martin Darveniza garnered industry success in his role as CEO and Managing Director of Tabua. Darveniza consistently paid added consideration to all communities and end user tourism requirements for applying the proper tourism consulting services. Darvenizas assiduous attention allowed him to address the concerns of all major stakeholder groups. Martin Darveniza also contributed to Fijis national development through his involvement and representation with various national committees aimed at advancing tourism in the country. Today, Martin Darveniza brings his firsthand experience in leading a large multifaceted tourism property development firm as Senior Consultant of tourism, property development, and strategic planning for PLACE Design Group. An international planning, design, and environment consultancy company established in 2001, PLACE Design Group boasts offices in the Pacific, Australia, Asia, and the Middle East. Martin Darveniza strives to identify development opportunities, strategic value creation options, project management, and consultant coordination with the organization.
