My Experience

Karen Freberg is a second year doctoral student in the College of Communication and Information at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee. Her primary area of study is in Public Relations, and her secondary area is in Marketing. Frebergs research interests includes Public Relations, Reputation Management, Crisis Communications, Corporate Personalities, and Managing online reputation through social media. Freberg has presented several international conferences including China (May 2008) and in The Netherlands (May 2009). Freberg also has some international public relations work experience as well. In 2007, Freberg was a public relations intern for Total Media PR in Cape Town, South Africa, where she was in charge of working on various accounts in the fashion and consumer public relations industry. Before coming to the University of Tennessee, Freberg went to the University of Southern California in Los Angeles for her Master's degree in Strategic Public Relations at the Annenberg School for Communication. Freberg received her Bachelors of Science degree in Public Relations at the University of Florida in August 2005.[/b][b][/b]
