Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers member Jorge Len Chalela received his Juris Doctorate from the same Ann Arbor, Michigan Institution from which he earned his undergraduate degree: the University of Michigan. In 1990, Mr. Jorge L. Chalela earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, and just three years later, in 1993, he earned his Doctorate of Jurisprudence. That law school is ranked in the top 10 law schools out of the over 365 accredited law schools in the nation.



Law has always been an integral part of the life and education of Mr. Jorge L. Chalela. A member of the Florida State Bar Association, Mr. Chalela is a member of the federal United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as the United States District Court of Floridas Middle District. Even in his off time, Mr. Jorge L. Chalela dedicates his legal expertise to those in need of his services. Mr. Chalela regularly maintains a caseload of pro bono legal representation and legal clinic fee representation (in cases of serious felony charges).

Since February of 1996, Mr. Jorge Chalela has vigorously represented the accused in criminal court, and the injured, in the Tampa Bay Area. For example, in 2002, the Hillsborough County Public Defender recognized Mr. Jorge L. Chalela as both Litigator of the Year and Employee of the Year out of a possible 88 trial attorneys on staff.
