About Me

Mr. Jon M Queen assists the Foundation for the Development of Environmental and Energy Policy, a non-profit NGO that promotes market and regulatory policy matters in Ukraine and Europe. Mr. Queen structures and develops projects under the Kyoto Protocol's Joint Implementation Mechanism, Clean Development Mechanism, and also under the WWF's Gold Standard and the Voluntary Carbon Standard.

From 2006 to June 2008, Jon was a Senior Vice President of the International Environmental Trading Group and its Eastern European Head. Prior to IETG, he was member of the financial services team at John Hancock and also an attorney at Latham & Watkins LLP, where he helped undertake the firm's climate change and greenhouse gas business development initiative.

Mr. Queen advises clients on deal origination, risk quantification and legal/transaction matters related to emissions trading and alternative energy projects.

Jon M Queen, despite what browsers may think, has no ties to Jon Bon Jovi, nor to his films and music -- particularly the Queen of New Orleans song.
