Currently serving as a Solutions Consultant for Teradata Corporation, the global leader in data warehousing and analytic technologies, Mr. Jawanza Lamar brings a diverse skill set to his position. Specializing in the telecommunications industry, Jawanza Lamar has been extremely successful in helping clients meet their technology needs while consistently driving new revenues for his company. Jawanza Lamar began working at Teradata in 2006. He is currently one of only two specialists in the country in his position. Outside of his current work, Jawanza Lamar is an accomplished entrepreneur and the driving force behind two successful companies: Tracklaps Inc. and OuterXtremes Inc. At Tracklaps, a software development firm targeted for the motorcycle racing industry, Jawanza Lamar served as the President of Technical Development. In this position, Jawanza Lamar secured initial start-up funding, directed business development and marketing strategies, and headed the creation of the companys technical resources, including its website and database design. At OuterXtremes, a custom motorcycle builder, Jawanza Lamar served as the Owner and President. In this position, Jawanza Lamar grew annual sales to more than $400,000 in only 3 years before eventually selling the company at a profit. Jawanza Lamar began his career as a Senior Systems Engineer at Nortel Networks. Demonstrating exceptional ability in this position, Jawanza Lamar was soon promoted to Senior Sales Engineer before next becoming Account Manager. Jawanza Lamars final position with Nortel was as Director of Sales for Optical/Data Products. In this role, Jawanza Lamar provided strategic and client-specific technology solutions to C-level executives from a wide range of industries. Jawanza Lamar left Nortel to pursue his entrepreneurial goals in 2002. Prior to beginning his career, Jawanza Lamar earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama. Jawanza Lamar is currently a member of both the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME).
