Dr. Jagdip Powar, M.D. established his private medical practice in l982 in Palo Alto, California, where he specializes in all aspects of women's health care, offering a comprehensive range of gynecologic and obstetrical services to suit women's growing health care needs. Dr. Powar specializes in treating and diagnosing infertility, as well as a wide array of women's health issues. Dr. Powar is highly skilled in administering birth control, performing gynecological surgery, and treating menstrual problems, fibroids, endometriosis, and bladder problems. Although his practice provides a wide array of traditional medical services, Dr. Powar utilizes the most modern technological approaches and personalized care to address the needs of his patients that prefer an integrated approach to medical treatment. In addition to maintaining a full-time private practice, Dr. Jagdip Powar serves as President of the Medical Staff at the Lucille Packard Childrens Hospital. He also sits on the Board of Directors for the Hospital. Dr. Powar is an active member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the San Francisco Gynecological Society, the Santa Clara County Medical Society, and the California Medical Association. In addition to fulfilling his physician duties in a multitude of hospital settings, Dr. Jagdip Powar serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Stanford Medical School. Dr. Powar also previously served four years as the Deputy Chief ObGyn at the Stanford Hospital. Recognized throughout his community as an outstanding physician, Dr. Jagdip Powar has been listed as one of the Best Doctors in Silicon Valley in 2003 and again in 2005.
