About Me
Jacqueline Kent Cooke has experienced a full and varied life, from debuting at cotillions and winning horseback riding championships to being a waitress and helping at a homeless shelter. Cookes life has been filled with ups and downs, joy and sadness, and she has learned from it all. At her young age, Cooke has already realized it is not about where you come from, but rather, where you are going. Taking a break from pursuing her Communications degree at Southern Methodist University, Jacqueline Cooke moved to Los Angeles to experience Communication, PR, and Management hands-on. It was in L.A. that Cooke earned an internship with Chuck Binder & Associates, working as an assistant for the company. Chuck Binder & Associates is a talent agency that manages talent like Bo Derek, Michael Madsen, and Paul Kapellas. The agency helps aspiring actors get their start, as well as manages major performers hectic schedules. With Chuck Binder & Associates, Cooke learned the ins-and-outs of communication and management. Although the talent agency offered her a life of glitz and glam, Jacqueline Kent Cooke chose instead to focus her efforts on a lifestyle of giving. Cooke has volunteered with So Others Might Eat (SOME), a Washington D.C.-based organization that aims to put an end to homelessness. SOME offers programs to homeless and low-income people in the area, offering job assistance, affordable housing, and counseling. As a volunteer, Cooke has assisted in many aspects of the organization, helping to provide daily needs like food, clothing, and healthcare. Homelessness is a cause for which Cooke often works; she has participated in a Walk for the Homeless, raising money and bringing awareness to the issue. Jacqueline Kent Cooke has also made contributions to her local chapter of the American Red Cross. In her spare time, Jacqueline Kent Cooke enjoys horseback riding. Cooke grew up in the riding circuit, and her talent has won her many championship ribbons. In addition, an article about horseback riding in Washington Life magazine featured Cooke.
