A noted financial services professional, Cisco Systems, Inc.s Inder Singh received recognition as one of the Top Three on Wall Street from Institutional Investor in 2008. Previously, Inder Singh pursued a broad education, which included a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Engineering from Columbia University as well as a Master of Business Administration from New York University. He secured his first role, as Senior Financial Analyst with American Express Company, while still a student at NYU.
During his two-year employment with American Express, Inder Singh rose to the position of Manager of Business Planning and utilized his abilities in acquisitions, divestitures, and portfolio strategy. In 1992, he accepted the role of Manager of the Network Systems Group with AT&T/Lucent Technologies. He earned a number of promotions throughout his nine years with the firm, working as Director of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis, Vice President of Corporate Strategic Partnerships, and Vice President of Business Development. Talented at aligning corporate goals with operations, Inder Singh guided the approach and execution of a number of profitable partnerships; contributed to the groups efforts in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia; managed mergers and acquisitions within the technology unit; and headed profit and loss analyses.
In 2001, Inder Singh joined Prudential Securities as Senior Vice President of Communication, Data Networking & Wireless. Repeatedly rated among the top three revenue producers for Prudential Securities Research, he also obtained recognition as Prudentials Top Fundamental Analyst for three consecutive years. Inder Singh left the role in 2007 to serve as Senior Vice President of Data Networking and Wireline Equipment with Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. In this job, he supervised investments for both the short and long term, led numerous initial public offerings, and conducted research initiatives on emerging trends.
Today, Inder Singh employs his versatile skill set as an executive with Cisco Systems, Inc. As Vice President of Corporate Portfolio Management, he guides the approval of new investments, manages more than 20 global venture funds, and sits at the helm of reprioritizations.
