Human Rights are the rights you have simply because you are human.

The purpose of the Human Rights Walk-a-Thon 2009is to unite all people in human rights and to make them a reality. Through education we can end war, discrimination

and intolerance.



Please put your best foot forward to support Human Rights. Join us at this fun filled event for food, entertainment, educational speakers and to walk with like-minded individuals supporting human rights around the world. Your participation will help.



This year the Human Rights Walk-a-Thon features four human rights groups partnering:

The Florida Coalition Against Human Trafficking, the Tampa Bay Academy of Hope, Community Tampa Bay and Youth for Human Rights of Tampa Bay.

These are all great groups, doing vital human rights work in the community.



The 3rd Annual Human Rights Walk-a-Thon is happening in North Straub Park, St. Petersburg on March 7, 2009. This event is a free event. This is an interfaith event and is inclusive of people from diverse faiths, races and persuasions. Entertainment includes the Dindu Dole Urban African Ballet and the Alumni Singers.



This event is co-sponsored by the City of St. Petersburg Florida.



We offer free tables to human rights non-profit groups and this year we have many outstanding groups represented.
