Since college, Heather Herman has worked diligently to develop her skills as a businesswoman. After attending Virginias James Madison University, where she majored in Marketing Information Systems, Heather Herman became an entrepreneur immediately following graduation. She founded a national direct marketing company that eventually employed over 150 people and grossed $4.7 million each year.

As President and Sales Manager, Heather Herman was responsible for managing 45 onsite employees and 14 offsite managers, with the latter group dispersed around the country. Heather Herman built profitable relationships with Fortune 500 companies,

Heather Herman invested much of her time into her companys sales strategy, leading daily sales classes and leadership meetings for her onsite employees and creating collateral and presentations for offsite sales representatives. Passionate about keeping up with market research and client needs, Heather Herman was often recognized for her attention to detail, earning a Manager of the Year award only three years after starting her business.

After seven years of running her own business, Heather Herman transitioned to a position as Director of Advertising with the Examiner Media Group, applying the skills she acquired running her own business to expand the concept of newspaper advertising in a period of major changes for the industry. Utilizing multimedia platforms that connect advertisers with their target markets, Heather Herman has displayed a unique talent for building a strong, dynamic sales infrastructure.
