About Me

Educator George Anthony Hruneni holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has spent his career not only teaching but also preserving the states historical legacy. After completing his graduate work, George Anthony Hruneni accepted a position as Manager in the division of Archives & Records Management in Fairfax Countys Department of Cable Communications. As a key contributor to the states largest local public records program, George Anthony Hruneni ensured the safe storage and easy retrieval of a tremendous number of documents. In addition, George Anthony Hruneni conceived and executed indicatives to improve the Department of Cable Communications day-to-day operations. Throughout his career as an archivist, George Anthony Hruneni has been a considerable asset to Virginias efforts to preserve its historical documents. From 1991 to 1999, George Anthony Hruneni participated on the Virginia State Historical Records Advisory Boards convened by Governors Douglas L. Wilder and George Allen. A sworn Deputy Clerk of the General District Court and Circuits Courts as mandated by the Code of Virginia and a member of the Virginia Association of Government Archives and Records Administrations (VAGARA), George Anthony Hruneni has spent additional time at the Clerk of the Court in Loudoun County, Virginia, and was involved in the management of cases stored in the states Chancery Records, which date back to 1798. Following his departure from the Department of Cable Communications, George Anthony Hruneni pursued an interest in assisting students with learning disabilities. After earning more than five years experience the field, George Anthony Hruneni is currently an Instructional Assistant at Marriotts Ridge High School in Marriottsville, Maryland.
