About Me

Dixie Davey has spent much of her life pursuing a wide array of business ventures, and she encourages her two children to follow their interests as well. Her daughter recently graduated from college with a degree in music and teaching, and her son operates a surfing website. Besides spending time with her children, Dixie Davey enjoys track and field sports, travelling, reading, watching movies, listening to music, and decorating her home with exotic plants.

In her professional career, Dixie Davey has followed several interests. Most recently, she and her husband spent some time living in Ecuador, where she taught children English and established a website for retirement and property investment opportunities. Before moving to Ecuador, she lived in Australia, where she held several jobs and business partnerships. In 2006, Dixie Davey established a website called Becoming Younger and an Ebay store which sold natural and alternative health supplies.

From 2002 to 2006, Dixie Davey worked with John Walker as the General Manager of his compost research and development company, At Source Organics. Dixie Davey met John Walker, who later became her husband, while she was working as a Business Banking Consultant for the Bank of Western Australia (Bankwest), where she was employed for eight years. Prior to that, she was part owner and Company Director of the fashion manufacturing and retail store Australian Bride. Operating the business with her mother, a bridal gown designer, Dixie Davey managed the office duties and handled the marketing for the companys fashion line (manufacturing, wholesale and retail). Her first job was with the law firm Lavan & Walsh, where she worked her way from Junior Outside Clerk to Legal Secretary. She eventually became Settlements Officer and oversaw the tasks of the junior staff.
