About Me

Graduating with his Doctorate in Organic Chemistry from the University of Basel in Basel, Switzerland, in 2010, David H. Woodmansee draws on extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry as a biochemist and researcher. While he was a doctoral student, David H. Woodmansee conducted research and served as an instructor, teaching chemistry and overseeing students working toward their Master's degrees.

David H. Woodmansee attended the University of California, Riverside, and San Diego State University as an undergraduate, earning his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with an emphasis in biochemistry from San Diego State University in 1997. After obtaining his BS, David H. Woodmansee went on to attain a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry at San Diego State in 2000.

Following the completion of his studies, David H. Woodmansee accepted an internship at Agouron Pharmaceuticals, now a part of Pfizer, the world's largest research-based pharmaceutical company. After the internship ended, David H. Woodmansee obtained positions in the pharmaceutical industry at nationally recognized companies and foundations, including the Ontogen Corporation and the Genomics Institute for the Novartis Research Foundation. During his years in the pharmaceutical and research industries, David H. Woodmansee perfected his laboratory skills. David H. Woodmansee holds proficiency in the automated methods and robotics used for chemical research and possesses extensive experience in combinatorial chemistry, structure activity relationships (SAR), high throughput screening, adsorption distribution metabolism excretion, and toxic studies (ADMETox). David H. Woodmansee belongs to the European Federation for Medicinal Chemistry (EFMC) and the American Chemical Society (ACS), one of the world's oldest and most respected scientific organizations.

An active outdoorsman raised in the surfing community of San Diego, David H. Woodmansee enjoys surfing, hiking, and road biking. In his spare time, David H. Woodmansee enjoys biking around Switzerland across the French and German border. David H. Woodmansee also practices Ashtanga yoga. At present, David H. Woodmansee resides in Basel, Switzerland.
