About Me

Dan Rafeld grew up in Scarsdale, New York. Through his youth he expressed a great passion for filmmaking, always carrying an 8mm camcorder on his shoulder. His college years were spent at Boston University, where Daniel partook in a prestigious Film Production program. It was during this program where Daniel launched his production company, JD'S Quad C Productions; writing, producing, and directing three short films and three commercials (see resume).

He graduated BU in January, 2008 and one month later he was working on the Boston-based Disney film, Surrogates, starring Bruce Willis and Ving Rhames. Daniel is currently working in New York City as a set production assistant (see resume).



My Goals:



In one year: I hope to have been accepted into the DGA Assistant Directors Training Program.



In three years: I hope to have sold my feature length screenplay, The Snow Globe, to a respectable production company/studio.
