About Me

Dana Stalder is a General Partner at Matrix Partners, a venture capital company in Californias Silicon Valley, where he specializes in Internet and software investments. In addition to leading Matrixs Internet and software-based accounts, Mr. Stalder also serves as Chairman of the QuinStreet Audit Committee.



Dana Stalder has almost 15 years of leadership experience in developing and managing growth at several leading Internet and software technology companies, including Netscape, PayPal, and eBay. Prior to joining Matrix Partners, Mr. Dana Stalder was the Senior Vice President of PayPal. He was crucial to the success of the e-commerce company that has blazed the trail of secure online payments and electronic monetary transfers. During his time at PayPal, Dana Stalder led the expansion of the company away from solely facilitating purchases made by its parent company, eBay, and oversaw all aspects of PayPals global operations.



Before he joined PayPal, Mr. Dana Stalder served as the Vice President of Finance, Internet Marketing, and Strategic Partnerships at eBay. In his position, Mr. Stalder managed eBays relationships with major associates, such as Google, America Online, Microsoft, General Electric, and the United States Postal Service, among others.



Mr. Dana Stalder studied Commerce, Accounting, and Marketing at Santa Clara Universitys Leavey School of Business and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1990. When he is not working, Dana Stalder enjoys playing a wide variety of sports, including basketball, soccer, wakeboarding, and skiing. He also volunteers his time by coaching youth sports teams, such as the American Youth Soccer Organization. Mr. Dana Stalder also enjoys spending time with his family and traveling to Lake Tahoe in his free time. Mr. Dana Stalder lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
