About Me
Dahn Yoga, a system of exercises for the body and mind, combines the ancient understanding of ki, or energy, with todays understanding of brain function. This approach makes Dahn Yoga an effective system for individuals who want to experience a deeper level of peace in their lives while improving their physical and mental health.
The Roots of Dahn Yoga
Ilchi Lee created Dahn Yoga in 1980, but it has roots that stretch back thousands of years into Korean history. Dahn Yogas understanding of ki, for instance, comes Chun Bu Kyung, a 9000-year-old text. Dahn Yoga also incorporates elements of an Sun Do, an ancient Korean tradition.
Dahn Yoga offers modern people a way to reach their ultimate potential by combing the positive elements of ki energy training, meditation, yoga, martial arts, and tai chi. By incorporating these elements into regular practice, Dahn Yoga can help people lead lives for of peace and health.
Experiential Learning
One of the reasons that students can learn so much from Dahn Yoga is that the system focuses on experiential learning. Experiential learning takes a different approach from academic learning. Instead of reading books and debating, Dahn Yoga students learn by doing. Their direct experiences allow them to feel the positive effects of Brain Education and ki. Its the experience that teaches them to incorporate these concepts into their lives.
