About Me

Christiaan has been working in the Developmental Disabilities field for 8 years, after a similar period in the Health Care field. Since the transition into the non-profit sector, he has focused on bringing solid business practices to agency operations while continually developing innovative services for the clients at Carey Services. He serves on several state and federal advisory committees that recommend direction on workforce incentives, service delivery, and training and development. Current areas of accountability include supported employment, school to work transition, habilitation, program development, grant writing, specialized programming for significantly and multiply disabled individuals, service coordination, and agency marketing. Current projects include the development of psychiatric and psychosocial services for dually diagnosed individuals, establishment of community arts programming through a partnership with VSA Arts, and growing service availability in Grant and Blackford Counties.

Christiaan is interested in opportunities to connect with other professionals in any related field, identifying best practices, and continuing a career path of increasing responsibility.
