My Experience

For over two decades, Cathy Ehorn has been a singularly valuable contributor to the Glenn County Department of Finance. Cathy Ehorn came to the organization in 1984, and she has steadily advanced from her first role as an Account Clerk. Most recently, Cathy Ehorn became a Supervising Accountant in the Department, fulfilling a wide range of duties, including participating in the preparation of budgets and annual financial statements. Cathy Ehorn also monitors budget appropriations and audits additional budget requests. Previously, Cathy Ehorn was involved in significant achievements at the Department of Finance while occupying the positions of Automated Accounting System Administrator/Analyst and Accounting Technician. Cathy Ehorn has evidenced her commitment to augmenting efficiency and accuracy in the Department of Finance through the installation of accounting software systems, document imaging, and other automated solutions. In particular, Cathy Ehorn participated in the conversion of the general ledger and accounts payable transactions to accounting software. Cathy Ehorn was awarded her Associate of Science degree in Business by Butte College. Cathy Ehorn also studied Computer Science at the University of California, Davis, where she gained familiarity with Unix, C+ language, and structured programming. In 1994, Cathy Ehorn completed technical training at Hewlett Packard in Mountain View, California. A valued member of her community in Willows, California, Cathy Ehorn serves as a First Responder and Dispatcher with the Willows Volunteer Fire Department and is a Life Member of the Willows Fire Department Auxiliary. Winner of the organizations Gold Award, Cathy Ehorn also holds a life membership with the Girl Scouts of the United States of America. In addition, Cathy Ehorn supports the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation and Relay For Life.
