About Me

Dr. Carole C. Lane is a physician with two different specialtiesdermatology and echocardiography. Dr. Lane is the Vice President of the Lane Medical Group, where she is a practicing dermatologist. She is also the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services for Monroe County Hospital, where she uses her 18 years of echocardiographic experience to interpret heart disease, cardiac echocardiography, and vascular ultrasound studies for the benefit of the hospital and medical centers in surrounding areas. Dr. Carole Lane also holds a position on the Medical Executive Committee for the Monroe County Hospital and plays a significant role in the decision-making process of the Committee on a variety of matters. Dr. Carole Lane completed her collegiate and medical education under the University of Alabama at Birminghams umbrella of institutes. She earned her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Alabama. Within one year of graduating, Dr. Lane began working on her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine and graduated four years later in the top 25% of her class. Dr. Lane then earned her postgraduate qualifications in dermatology and echocardiography at the University of Alabama Medical Center. Dr. Lane is also active in a number of organizations for medical professionals, including the American Society of Dermatology, the Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Society of Echocardiography, and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Carole Lane has a variety of hobbies. She enjoys listening to music and playing the piano, and she is a member of her churchs Sanctuary Choir. She also exercises often and likes playing tennis, water skiing, and snow skiing, depending on the season. Dr. Lane is also a generous donor to a number of nonprofit organizations like the Skin Cancer Foundation, the American Cancer Society, and the Alzheimers Research Fund. Dr. Carole Lane lives and works in her home state of Alabama.
