Working largely in human resources for industrial titans like Lilly Industries, Inc., Motor Coach Industries, Inc., and Owens Corning, Barry Melnkovic has consistently reduced headcount while driving increased productivity. Barry Melnkovic also excels at flowing best talent to key growth areas and investing in those people and processes to improve customer retention and shareholder value. Gaining early notoriety at PPG Industries, Inc. as the Father of PPGs Ergonomic Process, Barry Melnkovic has received further acclaim over the last 28 years. To name but a few of his innumerable achievements, at Lilly Industries, Inc., Barry Melnkovic streamlined HRIS and administrative processes and reduced medical, pension, and benefit costs by $4.3 million. Barry Melnkovic has proven himself an impressive negotiator, and he has secured and renegotiated union contracts representing tens of millions of dollars in cost reduction for Motor Coach Industries as well as Holland America Line. Over the years, Barry Melnkovic has been called a top five Best of Breed leader at Lilly Industries, Inc. and a Leadership Catalyst at Owens Cornings Insulation Systems Business. In addition, Barry Melnkovic has received global recognition from the International Quality and Productivity Center (IQPC). Barry Melnkovic is an alumnus of the University of Pittsburgh and holds a Masters Degree in Human Resources from Rutgers, though he began his business career while still in high school, when he was a successful salesman of products to stop leaks in automotive radiators. In his leisure moments, Barry Melnkovic takes time to lift weights and is also an avid reader; his favorite authors include Colin Powell, Michael Porter, and John Maxwell.
