Anthony Fazzary: Professional K-12 Physical Education Teacher, Coach

For more than 20 years, Anthony Fazzary has committed his life's work to teaching and coaching students from grades K through 12. Anthony Fazzary is a consummate professional and dedicated teacher who cares about the physical education as well as the academic achievements of the many students Anthony Fazzary has taught over the years.

Armed with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education from Ithaca (NY) College and a Master's degree in physical education from SUNY Cortland (NY), Anthony Fazzary began his teaching career in 1987 at Schenevus (NY) Central School, where he taught all enrolled students.

Soon after, in 1991, Anthony Fazzary was appointed physical education teacher for grades K-12 at Addison (NY) Central School, where Anthony Fazzary remained until 2008, carrying out various duties and accumulating a cache of several accomplishments along the way, including:

Supervisory and management experience;

Multiple project management, with tight focus on deadlines;

Extensive experience working in a leadership role with staff, students, families, and community;

Knowledge of business and management principles, such as strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, and proper coordination of people and resources.

As a community leader, Anthony Fazzary has volunteered his time as a Line Dance Instructor for the both the Corning, N.Y., YMCA and the Addison Central School in Addison, N.Y., from 1997 to 2006, in which Anthony Fazzary organized an annual Line Dance event for fifth- and sixth-grade students.

In this capacity, Anthony Fazzary promoted fun, fitness, and the art of dancing among both the community and his students alike. Anthony Fazzary personally choreographed the shows with creative themes used for each subsequent year, delighting all in attendance.

In addition, Anthony Fazzary was named Teacher of the Year in 2007 from the Addison Central School District National Honor Society.

Anthony Fazzary was also nominated for Coach of the Year in 2007 for Anthony Fazzary's efforts in leading the Addison Knights to their second sectional championship in four years, and Anthony Fazzary was named Coach of the Year for the 1996-97 academic year for baseball coaching at Addison Central School.

Anthony Fazzary lives in Corning, N.Y., where he is actively seeking to extend and broaden his professional skills in a psychiatric care setting.
