About Me

An experienced and caring otolaryngologist, Dr. Andrew Florea treats patients with conditions affecting the head and neck and particularly the ears, nose, and throat. Graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Andrew Florea earned his medical degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine before completing an internship and residency with Loma Linda University Medical Center. Traveling east, Dr. Andrew Florea accepted a laryngology fellowship at UPMC (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center). Later in his career, he completed a fellowship in facial plastic surgery. He currently works with patients from his offices in Southern Californias San Bernardino County.

As an undergraduate and medical student, Dr. Andrew Florea excelled at his studies. He graduated summa cum laude from UCLA and earned membership in the Phi Beta Kappa Society and the Golden Key International Honour Society. In medical school, he became a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Currently Dr. Andrew Florea belongs to the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and the California Medical Association. Additionally, Dr. Andrew Florea holds board certification in his specialty from the American Board of Otolaryngology.

Dr. Andrew Florea decided to specialize in otolaryngology out of a desire to help patients realize better comfort and confidence. His proficiency also extends to subspecialties within otolaryngology. During his fellowship at UPMC, Dr. Andrew Florea studied laryngology, which addresses the diagnosis and treatment of voice and swallowing disorders. Dr. Andrew Florea has given presentations and lectures on the subject of laryngology, such as his April 2007 lecture "Amyl Nitrate Usage: A Risk Factor for Vocal Fold Hemorrhage" at the American Laryngological Association Annual Meeting at the Combined Otolaryngology Spring Meetings (COSM) in San Diego.

In addition to his clinical and academic commitments, Dr. Andrew Florea has made several service trips to Romania with his wife, a nurse practitioner. These medical missions have allowed Dr. Andrew Florea to extend his outreach to more people who have benefited from his skills and comprehensive understanding of otolaryngology.
