Why I Joined Workface
By Michael Ross - Sales Director
Integrity – a value that runs deep through the investors, advisors, leaders and employees of Workface – and one of the reasons why I decided to join the Minneapolis-based technology company.
During my sales career, I have worked for both large, well-known enterprise organizations as well as small, unknown startups. When considering working for either, I have learned that it is important for an employer to exude sound leadership, solid funding, and a product or service that I believe in. Finding such characteristics can be a challenge within the enterprise community. It especially can be a challenge here on Silicon Prairie, where start-up companies are few and far between. Call me blessed, lucky, fortunate…. I found these characteristics at Workface.
Of course, other factors went into my decision-making. I was the fifth person to join Workface, which is extremely exciting. The chance to get in on the ground-level and grow with the company is a big motivation for me. At the same time, I have been given a chance to develop my leadership skills, participate in key decision-making, and influence the direction of the company – all of which benefit my personal and professional development.
Perhaps one of the most important reasons why I joined the company is my belief in the Workface application. Like most folks, I find the Internet great for researching products and services. But the online experience is often sterile, impersonal and lacking a human element. At Workface, our mission in life is to make Internet commerce more human. We believe that if we can make it more human, our customers will win more business and keep more satisfied customers. To that end for me, our mission is solid, our mission has merit, and our mission has integrity.
